Started in 1996, the Museum has the most comprehensive and world class display of historic firearms, commercial products and precision metal working machines anywhere in Australia.
Renowned nationally and internationally, the Museum’s reputation has been built around the Lithgow Small Arms Factory, an icon of significance in precision engineering in military and commercial design and manufacturing.
Today, the Museum is recognised in the prestigious UNESCO Australian Memory of the World Register.
