“Our Plastic Pollution Pandemic: Impact and Solutions”

Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra Lithgow Transformation Hub extends a warm invitation to this FREE special event, a public lecture by Dr Dannielle Green on her research into the pandemic of plastic pollution and the ways in which we can work together to reduce its impact. Free Event

Dr Green is an Associate Professor and director of the Applied Ecology Research Group at Anglia Ruskin University in England. Her passion for conservation and science began at Lithgow High School where she was a student graduating in 2003. She then went on to complete her Honours degree in Marine Science at the University of Sydney before moving to Ireland to do a PhD on invasive species. For the past 10 years, she has been researching the impacts and solutions to plastic pollution in a range of different habitats from the land to the sea. She is also a scientific advisor helping UK and EU policymakers, businesses and industry to reduce their impacts on the environment. Recently co-authored a United Nations Environment Programme report on plastic pollution helping to guide global policy. To register click here
