Love’s Melody – Phoenix Blue Mountains Choir

It’s not often you can find a musical program which includes both Monteverdi and Fats Waller! To paint love in music through the ages, Amy Moore has curated a selection of works from sacred Renaissance polyphony and secular madrigals to 20th century and contemporary works. There’s a female Venetian composer from the Baroque; romantics like Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann; a Percy Grainger arrangement of an old English folk song, and not to forget the foot-tapping 20th century works … and more besides.

With something for everyone, the choir is already enjoying rehearsing these works and there will be more details closer to the concert.
