Jesus Revolution

We are excited to announce a series of inspirational events coming to Lithgow, titled ‘The Lithgow Event Series’, these events are aimed at fostering hope and connection within our community.
Our first event will take place on Sunday 28th July 2024, 3pm – 6pm at the historic Union Theatre in Lithgow, and will feature a live jazz band, warm drinks and the screening of ‘Jesus Revolution’ (2023), a powerful film depicting the historic spiritual revival of the 1970s.
Based on true events, this movie centres around the character of young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney), who is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places: until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), they open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unexpected revival of radical and newfound love, leading to what TIME Magazine dubbed a JESUS REVOLUTION.
