Ironfest 2024- ‘Staying Alive’ Makers Expo

In conjunction with The Foundations Portland, Ironfest presents
the Inaugural ‘Staying Alive’ Makers Expo
over the weekend of April 27 & 28
(hrs: 10am – 5pm Sat & 10am – 4pm Sun) in Portland
NOTE: NEW VENUE and the Makers Expo is A FREE EVENT (CHILDREN UNDER 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT)
When Ironfest last took place in 2019 it was a major event attracting over 20,000 visitors from all around the world and involved over 1,000 participants.
What to Expect at the Inaugural Ironfest Presents Makers Expo To be snuggled in amongst the magnificent industrial heritage buildings that is the Foundations Portland, the inaugural Makers Expo will focus on Making; Art and quality handmade Australian goods
Expect around 50 Makers stalls of all varieties from artists working in all mediums including metal artists; clothes makers; jewellery makers; sculptors, painters, blacksmiths; leatherworkers; photographers, glass blowers, felters.
Expect Making demonstrations, from blacksmithing to spinning; to sculpture making
Expect to see people in costumes: steampunks, cosplayers, performers (music), LARPers
Expect to see historical displays; automotive displays, and historical engines
Expect great food; music makers; performers
Expect a night time event on the Sat 27th (more info coming soon)
And expect to see the Foundations Portland come alive April 27 & 28
