|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every 4 days that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until 15 April 2022

Visit Hartley Historic Village to uncover all that has been happening over the past 50 years of National Parks and Wildlife Service management. Join along with the friendly Parks staff as they satisfy your curiosity and show you in and around the beautifully restored and adapted buildings.

This year we welcome you to the opportunity to book in for a guided tour of the Hartley Historic Village. Follow us on a trail of curiosity as staff exhibit the early origins of this 19th century colonial settlement, one of the first centres west of the Blue Mountains. Uncover the layers to this rare and surviving example of vernacular architecture and gain insight into the incredible conservation work which has taken place over the last 50 years to adapt and strengthen its heritage for generations to come. You have the unique opportunity to be led in and around a number of buildings whilst learning of their key features and colourful history over their many inhabitants. Find out why this settlement has stood the test of time and how its resilient attitude is a tribute to our colonial heritage. We look forward to sharing the tranquillity and wonder of Hartley with you.
