Forage to Feast – At Gang Gang Gallery – Spring Event

Bringing wild edible weeds to the gallery table with Diego Bonetto and Marnee Fox for an unforgettable Spring time wild food experience.
Learn how to identify, harvest then feast on edible wild food plants with environmental educator Diego Bonetto and stylist, cook and weed convert Marnee Fox who together are Forage to Feast.
You will take a walk with Diego and discover the abundance of wild edibles to be found underfoot. Woven with migrant stories & sustainable tips, you will discover ways to safely harvest wild ingredients and enrich your diet with vitamins and minerals. You will then sit down, surrounded by gorgeous art in the inspiring Gang Gang gallery, to a wild food degustation presented by Marnee. The foraging tour with Diego will begin at 11am followed by the sit down wild food degustation in the gallery with Marnee.
Included in this exciting 3.5 hour edible adventure you will:
– Learn to positively identify up to 15 common edible plants while taking a leisurely yet informative stroll with Diego Bonetto through the streets and green spaces surrounding the gallery.
– Discover ways to safely harvest from the urban ‘wild’ and have your mind blown at just how much food and medicine surrounds us in everyday settings.
– Receive a copy of Diego’s Foragers Guide. A handy booklet focussing on 16 common plants, labelled ‘weeds’.
– Follow up information straight to your inbox about all plants discussed with links so you can continue your wild food adventure.
– Enjoy a delicious and surprising eight course wild food degustation created by Marnee Fox, served at a long table within the gallery, utilising some of the plants discussed with Diego on your walk. Lunch will begin with a welcome wild cocktail in the gallery.
