Why don’t you come on the Easter Saturday to a Wild Mushroom Hunt instead of doing another egg hunt? It is a fantastic family activity, and you will find prized delicacies, bright, edible fungi!
Join a guided mushroom foraging tour with an experienced licenced forager for a great opportunity to learn how to find, pick and process wild edible mushrooms.
We meet at Hampton beyond the Blue Mountains and from there take a short drive to nearby pine forests to harvest precious nature’s gift – wild mushrooms, also blackberries and roadside apples (it’s a self-drive tour).
You will learn how to identify and collect edible mushrooms, then process them for us to cook a scrumptious lunch and see how to preserve the bounty. Your guide will teach you how to safely recognise and pick them, and will run a safety check of your basket.
