Daffodils at Rydal
16 September 2023 @ 10:00 am - 17 September 2023 @ 4:00 pm
Rydal is named after Rydal in England, once the home of William Wordsworth – the Poet Laureate of the day.
He wrote the famous poem about daffodils.
When all at once I saw a crowd,
a host of golden daffodils….Fluttering
and dancing in the breeze.
Rydal in NSW is the home of thousands of daffodils. $10 entry tickets and programs available from the Rydal Showground. Children under 16 free.
This gives admission to all the gardens, music, heritage buildings, sculpture exhibition and art show. The program will have a list of addresses of gardens and times and places of music.
Eftpos will be available for ticket entries but many of the stalls and caterers do not have this facility, so please bring cash.
There is ample free parking at the Rydal Showground. A free hop-on hop-off bus will take ticket holders around all the village gardens. There will be large country gardens that are open outside the village.
Food available all day, including tea, coffee, cakes and slices. There are no shops in Rydal. There are many picnic spots in the village and country gardens.
