Great Southern Bioblitz 2023 – Lithgow Region

What wild things live in our area? Can you help us find them this spring? The ‘Great Southern BioBlitz’, or ‘GSB’ for short, is an international period of intense biological surveying aiming to record all the living species across the Southern Hemisphere in Spring. 2023 is the first time that Lithgow will be participating in this international event, and we are inviting everyone to get involved. Participating is simple: 1. Get out into nature during November 24-27 2. Take photos of the living things you see 3. Upload the photos to the iNaturalist app or website All iNaturalist observations made in our LGA during the bioblitz period will automatically be included in the Lithgow Region GSB project. How many species will we find? There are prizes to be won for participating!
