Lithgow City Council will be hosting the Live and Local program, a capacity building program fully funded by the Australian Government that delivers professional development workshops, micro music-festivals and a local industry forum.

As part of the program, Council will establish the Seven Valleys Music Database of musicians and venues as an ongoing resource to assist the Seven Valleys community in future programming of live music. The aim is to:

• Develop paid performance opportunities for local musicians
• Activate more performances spaces
• Create a network of local businesses to continue programming live music on a regular basis.
• Create a database of musicians and businesses
• Establish a working group of local representatives to support growth of the local music scene
