Upstairs in Caves House, a stroll from the famous caves, magnificent Chisolm’s Restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate your most important occasions, like birthdays and anniversaries, even weddings. But why wait for a special occasion?
Our head chef sources ingredients from the local region to create a modern, hearty, Australian menu, often with a French twist. Jenolan spans an invisible lifestyle intersection between Sydney chic, tree-changers and rural tradition, and we feel we have developed a menu that has something for just about everyone. There are vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options and our prices are mid-range. Our comfy bar offers an enormous array of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails.
Chisolm’s, was built in the fashionable Art Deco style of 1926. Lofty columns, high bay windows and imposing ceiling, deeply embossed with strong geometric patterns, made it clear that it was designed to be a place where important people dined. Today’s 21st century guests enjoy all the refined ambiance of those architectural features, which, along with a warm open fireplace, are still there.
Arrive in the afternoon and go on a cave tour. Before dinner stroll along one of our bushwalks. Late afternoon/early evening are the times most likely to spot wildlife.
