Lithgow Street Art Walk
November 11 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Lithgow’s main street, and immediate surrounds, is home to more than 20 artworks, from bronze sculptures, ceramics, large scale murals, and a secret laneway decorated with painted tiles. The Lithgow Street Art Walk brings together this diverse array of works and recognises the artists that have contributed to the culture of Lithgow’s Main St and surrounds.
Join us as we celebrate the talented artists of the Lithgow region and their work at the launch the Lithgow Street Art Walk, and map, in front of the most recently completed work, “Do you see what I see?” by Michael Bourke
The launch of the Lithgow Street Art Walk is on Monday 11th November at 1pm, in Cook Street Plaza.
After the event, why not collect a copy of the map and take a stroll through Lithgow’s laneways. Maps will be available at the launch, Lithgow City Library, Seven Valleys Information Centre and Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra, Lithgow Transformation Hub.
This initiative is the result of collaboration between Lithgow Tidy Towns, Lithgow City Council and Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra Lithgow Transformation Hub and curation by Sharon Howard of Gang Gang Gallery.
