Lithgow City Orchestra Winter Concert
June 30 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Now that Winter is officially here with beautiful frosts and much cooler weather, why not come to the warmth of Notre Dame concert hall near Lithgow Hospital to hear Lithgow City Orchestra in concert. LCO will be presenting their Winter Concert on Sunday 30th June. Jamie Briton the Orchestra’s Musical Director said members of the public can expect a programme full of variety and tuneful music ranging from the Baroque period, Classical, Romantic, 20th and 21st Centuries. Kate Aeberli commented on their Autumn concert, “The Orchestra’s music was warm, lively and versatile. Being a classical fan I especially enjoyed Sibelius’ majestic Finlandia, Morning Mood by Grieg and Elgar’s serene Nimrod. We’d have been disappointed if they’d not played Sahara Crossing or the Pirates of the Caribbean.” Enjoy a variety of musical styles including works by Dvorak, Sibelius, Elgar, Grieg, 1920s Ragtime, 1960s The House of the Rising Sun and Pirates of the Caribbean. The free concert will be held at Notre Dame Uni concert hall on Sunday 30th June 2pm followed by refreshments. Everyone is welcome. |
