Capertee Valley Bird Watching Festival

The Capertee Valley Bird Festival is a new exciting event celebrating local biodiversity and bird species.

Expect a program of bird walks and great speaker sessions for birders and activities with a bird and nature flavour for the community.

Do you have something to share … ? A creative skill, special knowledge, something fun to do … We are seeking expressions of interest to deliver activities in the Capertee Valley Bird Festival community program. The festival will have two streams of activities. One which is aimed at birders, and one which is aimed at the general community. In the community program we would like to include activities suitable for adults, for children accompanied by a parent, or for children and their parents to do together. We are looking for a variety of fun and educational activities which will engage everyone with the festival and foster a love of nature and wildlife. Ideas suggested include indigenous cultural experiences, nature-themed arts and crafts, and gardening to attract birds. But we look forward to hearing your ideas and what you would like to do.
